Meet the practitioner

Welcome to Robles Physiotherapy !

My name is Martha Robles, I have more than 7 years working as an MSK, Sport Physiotherapist. More recently, I qualified as an Osteopath and copleted my PGCert in Pelvic Floor.

I have a background in athletics, having treated elite athletes in Barcelona, Spain, and having competed as a thriathlet in the Basque Country, Spain.

From sprains and strains to complex rehabilitation, an pain management I use evidence-based hands-on techniques, I design personalised treatment plans, so that patients can improve their performance, alleviate their pain and recover or prevent future injuries.

As an osteopath , I am a healthcare professional which use manual techniques to diagnose and treat musculoskeletal issues and promote the body's natural healing abilities. Osteopathy emphasizes the interplay between the musculoskeletal system and overall health. Osteopaths use hands-on methods like manipulation, massage, and stretching to improve mobility and alignment of bones and tissues. Their goal is to alleviate pain, enhance well-being, and address various medical conditions.

My specialisation in Pelvic Floor Health enables me to address the unique concerns related to pelvic pain, urinary incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse in men and women. I treat pre-intra and postpartum injuries for pregnant women. I am passionate about providing comprehensive care and improving the quality of life for individuals experiencing these issues.

Come to my Physiotherapy and Osteopathic practice, let's work together to create a customized treatment plan that meets your specific needs and goals.

Thanks to continual learning, I will ensure that you receive the highest standard of care and benefit from effective, hand on therapy.

Looking forward to meeting you to work together towards your optimal health.

Introducing Tecartherapy, aka Diathermy or Radiofrequency

Tecartherapy is a groundbreaking technology used by manual therapists to accelerate the body's natural self-repair mechanisms, facilitating the rapid rehabilitation of muscle and joint function. It operates by applying an electric current that induces ionic movement within the body. This movement promotes increased molecular exchanges across cell membranes, which, in turn, enhances cell metabolism and contributes to faster healing. Tecartherapy has gained international recognition as a safe and non-invasive method for tissue regeneration, with thousands of practitioners and over 10,000 treatment centers adopting this technology in the last decade. It has been proven effective in various fields, including orthopedic surgery, cosmetic medicine, and rehabilitation.

Over the past 30 years, studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of this high-frequency current in relieving pain and stimulating natural tissue reconstruction, positioning tecartherapy as a promising approach in the realm of physical therapy.

Benefits

  • Reduction in pain from first session onwards
  •  Faster recovery
  • Improvement in chronic and acute pathologies (with protocols involving multiple treatments)
  • Improvement to scarring of soft tissue and fibrous tissue
  • Limited contraindications
  • Excellent levels of satisfaction during high- frequency current treatment for great patient experience

Accelerated healing: 97% effective

Winback energy's rapid ion flow and plasma membrane permeability, achieved through fast electrical oscillations, have shown 97% effectiveness in accelerating tissue healing over six sessions for muscular and joint issues, according to a study published in Sport & Medicine (January-February 2009). The treatment employs multi-frequency capacitive diathermy at frequencies of 500, 750, and 1 MHz.

6x faster vascularization

TECAR energy enhances tissue resistance, generating heat that stimulates the circulatory system and accelerates vascularization by six times, benefiting areas with limited mobility and fibrosis while improving movement.

Immediate and lasting relief from pain: 81% effective

Winback energy disrupts pain signal transmission for a minimum of 48 hours by interfering with normal pain signal transfer through electrical oscillations, resulting in hyperpolarization and depolarization.

2x faster rehabilitation

Studies since 1999 have validated the therapeutic effects of high-frequency currents. The application of TECAR technology, as seen in Winback energy, has shown significant improvements in rotator cuff rehabilitation, making progress twice as fast.
