What is Plantar Fasciitis?
Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It affects the plantar fascia, a thick band of tissue that supports the arch of the foot and connects the heel to the toes.
Symptoms often include:
• Sharp heel pain with the first steps in the morning
• Pain after prolonged standing or walking
• Heel or arch tenderness
• Discomfort during or after running and exercise
Common contributing factors include increased activity levels, running, prolonged standing, calf tightness, reduced ankle mobility, and foot biomechanics.
At Robles Physiotherapy & Osteopathy, we assess the underlying causes of your symptoms and provide personalised treatment to help reduce pain, improve mobility, and get you back to the activities you enjoy.
